Team News: Nine Full Internationals Start Against Alashkert

RANGERS have nine full international players in their starting XI for this afternoon’s UEFA Europa League play-off round tie with Alashkert of Armenia.

From the side which defeated Ross County on Sunday, it’s five changes for the Light Blues with Robby McCrorie making his competitive debut in goal with Nathan Patterson, Filip Helander, Borna Barisic and Scott Arfield also coming in.

That means it’s a back five of McCrorie, Patterson, skipper for the evening Connor Goldson, Helander and Barisic.

Arfield comes into midfield next to Steven Davis and Glen Kamara, while up front, Joe Aribo and Ianis Hagi support Alfredo Morelos.

Cedric Itten and Leon Balogun are on the bench for Gers next to six Academy players – Jay Hogarth, Stephen Kelly, Alex Lowry, Arron Lyall, Cole McKinnon and Kyle McClelland.

It’s a 4pm BST kick-off and all the action is live outside the UK & ROI on RangersTV. Join Tom Miller and Gordon Smith for full coverage.
