STEVEN GERRARD has made five changes to his starting eleven for today’s Scottish Premiership match against Hamilton Academical at Ibrox.
After Thursday night’s 3-3 draw with Benfica in Lisbon, Jon McLaughlin, Leon Balogun, Scott Arfield, Kemar Roofe and Jermain Defoe come back into the Gers team to face Brian Rice’s men, replacing Allan McGregor, Filip Helander, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara and Alfredo Morelos.
The Light Blues will be looking to build on their impressive start to the 2020/21 campaign before the international break, with 11 wins and two draws from their 13 Premiership fixtures to date, with 29 goals scored and just three conceded.
In between the posts this afternoon and making his ninth appearance of the season is McLaughlin with James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Borna Barisic in front of the experienced goalkeeper.
In midfield, Arfield joins Joe Aribo and Ryan Jack with Roofe, Defoe and Ryan Kent providing a three-pronged attack.
